#GenerousActivism Playbook
We are thrilled to share a #GenerousActivism Playbook, a comprehensive guide filled with daily actions that everyone, from individuals to large corporations, can undertake to champion change. This playbook is a call to arms for those who aspire to make a difference in the lives of women and girls affected by sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV).
This initiative is spearheaded by 16STORIES, a dynamic media advocacy coalition committed to amplifying the voices of unsung heroes at the intersection of digital advocacy, civic engagement, and creative expression. The mission of this coalition is to harness the power of storytelling, music, short films, podcasts, and other art forms to drive meaningful conversations around SGBV, wellbeing, and rights.
Aligned with the Giving Tuesdays Africa's #GenerousActivism initiative, the coalition will spotlight 16 artists during the 2023 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, showcasing the transformative power of poetry and music as tools of advocacy.
Also, 16Stories is set to Unveil 16 Africa’s Unsung Heroes Championing #GenerousActivism, celebrating heroes whose acts of generosity are actively dismantling the barriers that enable the occurrence of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) against women and girls
The coalition will release this publication, a carefully curated collection inspiring stories, highlighting the strength of collaboration and the profound impact of generous activism.
